Certain moments require a different way of seeing. Beyond our regular true field of vision – what our eyes can perceive of course, but also what we are willing to pay attention to – lie scenes of irregular beauty or silence that demand another way of approaching them. In those instances, the choice of a panoramic format often imposes itself as the only means with which one can define this particular mood or presence, or even absence. This series – which I have been slowly working on over the years, is an attempt to capture such visions. It is a work in progress.
